10mm Glock Models - I bought a G20 from a Glock store a year ago and it has been a great side gun for use on my farm in NW Colorado. I have full confidence in his ability to handle any situation that may arise in this rural area. Recoil and muzzle jump are very controllable with Winchester silver tips. For the big game hunter, this is a top shelf side handle.
I've heard it's the best gun for those bear encounters, which I've been getting more and more since trout fishing last year.

With short slides it is quite difficult to remove the field - loading magazines by hand is difficult.

I have a retro-fit release "bar" installed, which made it much easier to clean after a day's shooting.
I also bought a plastic cap for the space in the handle next to where it goes in. I've heard that dirt can get into the firing mechanism through this - but I don't know for sure.
With a full cup, be sure to fit it firmly into the body of the gun - it's inconvenient if it falls out. Hopefully - Mag Spring will be a little weaker.
There are 20SF. My third Glock and my favorite of the 8 handguns. 15 rounds in 10mm is a lot of firepower.
Review] Glock 20: Best 10mm Out There?
I bought a G20 GEN 4 about a month ago. I bought it at a low price. Even if I paid more I'm still a happy Glock cow!
Last week I went to the range and shot 3 different ammo. Blazer, Sig/Sour and Armscore. All 3 were done without any problems. But I will say I like Armscore the best.
I shot all the FMJs with single and semi auto fire. The gun worked perfectly! Of course it's a GLOCK!
I have an old G19 from the early 1990's, it's still a great gun. I always carry it or my RUGER 1911 45ACP when I first got it.

I have 4 small carry guns but I like more power! Boss, I.E. WIFE likes small guns anyway. I never want to make him mad enough to shoot me; He is much better than me! His dad raised him to NRA competition in the late 50's and early 60's and he won a whole bunch of trophies, always beating the boy! That would be sad!
I was torn between 10mm vs .45 ACP. However, after reviewing many ballistics and performance studies, there was no doubt... The G20 wins in all departments: muzzle and target speed and power, flight path, etc. Although the ammo is a bit expensive, I'm glad That's mainly why I got it. Personal safety, but if this black bear shows up in my yard again, he might get some lead shampoo!
I've been on the verge of getting one of these for a while now. Never thought of Glocks because of the plastic and lack of manual safety. But one of the .45acp landed in my lap and it has improved greatly in terms of quality, ergos, simplicity and weight. So this will be my first 10mm based on my past experience with the Glock... 15 rounds of 10mm will be good for anything I call "home".
I use my second Glock 10mm and love it. This causes recoil, but nothing "out of control". I'm not a huge guy, but straight out of the box and tweaked a bit to my taste (no extra gear, just stock) and hit the mark every time. Great weapon!!!

It was my first gun, and like your first love, it's always your favorite. In Houston, it's shorts and t-shirts for nine months of the year, and most of the time I usually carry its little brother, the Glock 29. But when it's cold and I wear a jacket, I still pack the G20. With 16 rounds of cavity I think I can handle anything that comes my way. If Saskatchewan's judgment is poor, the G20 will more than make him regret it. Love this gun.
My Glock 20 is my go-to gun for home defense, no harm intended, but it is a gun to protect me from wild animals and other intruders.
I am looking for a more powerful pistol than my 9MM and .45ACP. Lots of recommendations for the 10MM so I used one of my Blue Label certificates and bought a Gen 4 G20.

This weapon is a complete package. It is powerful but manageable. It has incredible power and I would definitely use it to defend any home or big game (like bear). This is my fifth Glock and I love each one.
It will be interesting to see what the Gen 5 G20 will add to the mix if Glock ever makes one (of course it will be a new model number).
